Youth Sunday

Sunday May 1, 2011, the Sunday after Easter, our youth will be involved in and leading all three services. Our students will be preaching, leading worship, ushering and supplying our drama team. Please join us Tuesday, April 5^th at 12:30pm for our planning meeting at the church office.

30 Hour Famine

Our youth will be participating in the 30 Hour Famine, an overnight event with no food, outdoor sleeping accommodations and a canned food drive. This event will coincide with the opening of the new office for the Grove City Food Pantry. Stay tuned for more information.

Christian Adventure Camp is coming soon

CAC will be here before you know and now is the time to plan. This year’s camp will be held June 12-17 at YMCA Camp Willson. The cost for camp will be $250 per person. This year’s theme will be American Idol: Break the Chain, items that stand between us and God, Companions, Habits, Attitudes, Ignorance and Negative Spiritual Forces. Camp will also run a little longer this year. Pick up will not start until 4:30pm on Friday afternoon. This change will give us an extra day of lesson and one last time to enjoy waterfront time. Prayer Ministry Team Training

This May we will be offering Prayer Ministry Training for all CAC counselors, interested high school students and others that want to be involved. PMT will involve one on one and group training of how to recognize the Holy Spirit, words to pray while laying hands and proper techniques for praying for others in public. This training will be mandatory for those praying for youth at CAC Consecration night. Exact date TBD.

Summer Mission Trip

July 23-29, 2011 our high school students are invited to Jackson, OH to help those less fortunate than us on our annual summer mission trip. This year’s trip will include porch building, painting, roofing and more. We will be joining forces Jeff Kincaid (from Chrysalis) and Peace UMC. We will need 5 adult leaders to help with this trip.
